Winnie the Pooh Mural

Winnie the Pooh Mural

My client, Mahsa, wanted a Winnie the Pooh mural in her baby’s nursery, but wanted some personal touches added that she couldn’t get from peel and stick decals.

Keep scrolling to see how I personalized the mural in her Burlington, Ontario home, to learn about the benefits of having a hand-painted mural and why you should work with me!

Personalized with Eli’s name

One benefit of having a hand-painted mural created is that it can be personalized with your baby’s name or a favourite quote.  For Mahsa’s Winne the Pooh mural, I painted her baby’s name as a carving in the tree.

A safe piece of artwork above the crib

It’s great to have a piece of artwork over your baby’s crib so he has something to look at, but framed art or decals could fall off the wall onto your baby.  A hand-painted mural is a totally safe alternative – and who wouldn’t want to look at Winnie the Pooh floating by on a balloon?

Add a cool feature in corners, bulkheads or slanted ceilings

Many of my client’s rooms have ugly bulkheads, slanted ceilings or air vents that are hard to decorate, or just like in this nursery, the only tall space there is to decorate is a corner because the rest of the furniture is tall and covers most of the room.  I designed and painted a tree that fit into the corner, with Tigger sitting on a branch to the right and Piglet on a branch to the left.

Of course, the only way I could know how to design a custom mural for my clients is by offering a free consultation.  You fill me in on the design you’re dreaming about, the colours of the room, size of the walls and all the furniture going in the nursery.  Gimme a shout to set up your free consultation!

Customize your mural specifically for your space

When Mahsa and her hubby moved into their home, this room was painted yellow on top, green on the bottom with a white border in the middle.  She found the border too stark, but liked the colours for a nursery.  Rather than painting the white border in yellow (or worse, painting the whole room over), I suggested painting bumble bees flying around the white border – turning it into a fun feature.

Many of my clients prefer using eco-friendly and green products for their kids, which is why I paint all my murals with non-toxic acrylic paint and no-VOC latex paint.  Their air quality won’t be affected and it’s safe for your kids to sleep in – even on the night the mural is finished!

My murals become part of your family

I get so many messages from past clients saying their kids say goodnight to their murals or they become a part of their imaginative play.  Kids love having painted animals on their wall – whether they’re well known like Tigger in my Winnie the Pooh mural, or a simple monkey I’ve created myself.

I’ve been painting since 2005!
